CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Chatt State Community College students and staff were asked to "get indoors, lock the door" on Thursday afternoon after suspicious activity was reported near campus.

Details of the Incident

  • At 12:52 p.m., a campus-wide text alert was sent out to students and staff.
  • The alert stated that there was suspicious activity near the main campus building.

Response from Law Enforcement

Chattanooga Police responded to the scene and conducted a search of the area.

No suspects were immediately located, and the scene was cleared within an hour.

Chatt State Statement
