The France international then turned provider for Neymar, who put PSG ahead in the 75th minute.

Messi completes the scoring

Lionel Messi made it 3-1 in the 90th minute with a clinical finish from close range.

The win moves PSG five points clear of Marseille at the top of the table, while Rennes remain in fifth place.

Mbappe in scintillating form

His goal was a moment of individual brilliance, as he danced past several defenders before firing home from just inside the area.

The 24-year-old has now scored 11 goals in his last 10 games for PSG, and he is showing no signs of slowing down.

Neymar and Messi also on target

Neymar and Messi also played their part in PSG's victory, with the Brazilian scoring a superb goal and the Argentine adding a late third.

Neymar's goal was a moment of magic, as he curled a free-kick into the top corner from 25 yards out.

Messi's goal was a simpler affair, as he tapped home from close range after being set up by Mbappe.
